For owners
A private first note about your firm.
Anchor buys small Texas tax and bookkeeping firms whose owners are ready to step back, keeps them, and runs the back office with AI. If we are not the right owner for your firm, we can introduce you to a buyer who is. We are in the search stage. There are no acquired firms to list.
Writing to us does not commit you to anything. You choose the path, and what to share, and when.
What happens after you write
- 01
Intro call
A conversation about your firm and what you want next. You set the time.
- 02
Our homework
We read the public record and what you choose to share, and write down what a buyer would see, whether that buyer is us or someone else. What to share, and under what terms:
Not confirmed[ADAM TO CONFIRM: whether an NDA is signed before any records are shared]
Then you choose one of two paths.
- 01
Sell to Anchor
If the firm fits, we make an offer to buy it ourselves.
- 02
A transition plan with you
A handoff written with you, so your team and your clients hear about it the way you choose. We keep the firm, and we run its back office with AI.
- 01
Or be introduced to another buyer
We shortlist buyers who could fit, with our reasons.
Not confirmed[CONFIRM: buyer types] - 02
Introduction with your yes
Nobody hears about your firm until you approve that introduction.
- 03
What we do after the introduction
Not confirmed[ADAM TO CONFIRM: Anchor's role after an introduction, if any]
You can change your mind about the path at any point before you sign anything.
Size, price, structure, and timing
These are the starting terms. Nothing in this section is an offer.
Size
Roughly $300,000 to $2 million in annual revenue. Early purchase prices stay under $3 million on the quality-of-earnings line, and the SBA 7(a) amount stays at or below $5 million.Valuation
A firm is valued on normalized earnings (seller's discretionary earnings or adjusted EBITDA), cross-checked against recurring revenue, and adjusted for retention, concentration, and staff depth. An SBA deal uses an independent accredited valuation.Deal structure
10% down, 15% seller note, and 75% SBA 7(a).Closing timeline
A first conversation to a signed letter of intent is usually a few weeks. A signed letter of intent to an SBA-financed close is usually about 60 to 120 days, set mostly by the lender, the independent valuation, and records readiness.
Send a note
Your name and an email address are enough to start. Share only what you are comfortable putting in an email before a conversation.
Please leave out client names, tax returns, and financial statements for now. We can talk about what to share, and how, after a first conversation.
